It was total déjà vu watching Sunny Deol snarl, filling up one end of the screen to the other. It brought back memories of when he did the same thing in the original Gadar, wresting his ‘dulhaniya’ from the evil hands of her Pakistani father, played by Amrish Puri, who was adept at snarls himself.

Jeete embarks on a search and rescue expedition after papaaji Tara vanishes during a border conflict. It begins a never-ending flurry of rattling guns, scowling soldiers, and venomous Pakistanis running after our heroes, with clamorous set pieces devised specifically to offer the two a chance to demonstrate their bravery and patriotic ardour.
